Honk
Pushes whatever is in front of you away, up to four squares. A chicken, a duck or a coconut slides until it hits something. A crate or a sack of rice moves one square, and a crate pushed into the water becomes a plank.

Honk your animals back home
Doogie has lost his animals. The chickens are in the ditch, the duck is on the wrong path and the buffalo will not budge. With his air horn, a good shout and his stretchy eye loop he brings them back, in as few moves as possible.
Submitted to Apple on 21 September 2026. It will be free on the App Store as soon as Apple approves it.

How to play
HONK! Doogie is a turn-based puzzle on a board of squares. Tap where Doogie should go: walking is free. Every honk, shout or eye loop counts as a move. Animals startle, slide, bump into each other and push each other along, so one honk can set off a chain reaction. Work out the right order and you finish the level in par: the fewest moves it can be done in.
Pushes whatever is in front of you away, up to four squares. A chicken, a duck or a coconut slides until it hits something. A crate or a sack of rice moves one square, and a crate pushed into the water becomes a plank.
Scares everything in the squares around Doogie. Animals take a step away from him, jars break, a palm drops a coconut and a buffalo charges straight ahead.
Reaches up to three squares and hooks the first thing it touches. Light things are pulled towards you. Hook a post, a palm or a buffalo and you zip over to it instead, right across the water.
Every regular level is worth three stars. The 17 lessons do not count: they only teach you something new.
Undo as often as you like, and Restart puts the level back to the start. Nothing breaks that you cannot put right.
The hint button points at the next sensible move, and it is always right: a computer checked every level and every par.
By a temple wall or a spirit house, sound does not reach. Animals there can only be pulled out with the eye loop, and Doogie greets with a wai, the Thai greeting.
Six chapters
Each chapter is a step harder than the one before. In 17 lessons you learn one new thing at a time, such as the current, the crab or the mud, before it counts. A chapter opens once you have finished all but three levels of the one before.
Honk, shout and the eye loop. Every level shows one new thing.
Two things at once now. The aim counts, and the order starts to count.
What looks obvious here is often just wrong. Look two moves ahead.
Long solutions with one way in. You have no move to spare.
Here you will start over once in a while. That is part of it, so take your time.
Everything Doogie knows, at once, and not one level lets you in easily.
One board a day, the same for everybody, with a counter for your streak. Monday is the gentlest and Saturday the hardest. There are 406 daily boards in the game, so none repeats within a year. Your campaign stars do not change.
Challenge somebody with a code. You both play the same board, each on your own phone, and the fewest moves wins. Same number of moves? Then the fastest wins.
No account and no server needed: the code carries the board.

The story
Bart Molkenboer designed Doogie in 2011, during his 3D design studies, as the mascot of his first personal website. Fifteen years later, Doogie has his own game.
Bart is a Dutch developer who lives in Thailand, between the coast at Bang Saray and Isaan in the northeast, where he is building a farm. The game is set in those two places: a farm with chickens, ducks and water buffalo, and a beach with crabs, coconuts and tides. HONK! Doogie is his first game.
Nothing. The game is free, with no adverts and no in-app purchases. You do not need an account either.

It starts gently: every new thing gets its own lesson first. After that each chapter is harder, up to The master test, where not one level lets you in easily. With unlimited undo and the hint button you can always move on.
